Known as Ciale (chay-lee), Alyxandra Ciale Charfauros is a third-year undergraduate pursuing her BFA in Theatre Performance: Acting and a double minor in Asian Pacific Islander American (A/PIA) Studies and Performing Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. As a Filipino-Chamorro woman, she identifies as an artivist who uses her creative platform as a means to engage with civic engagement. In November, Ciale founded We the People Representing Our Unifying Diversity (PROUD), a polycultural productions organization, to more equitably explore the intersectionality of identity. As a representative in the assembly, Ciale hopes to implement holistic creative practices in the university’s pedagogy.
